Also know as:Amonsetira
Titles: Object Creator
Real Job: Student/Casino employee
University:Archeology (Egyptologist)
Vicinity: Edmonton Alberta
Creations:Objects,Floors,Walls
Tools of Choice: Materialize 3D, Cybermotion, Rhino, Deeppaint, Paintshoppro, Adobe, Easy photo, Synedit, Winhex, Transmogrifer.

My Rant: Well I've been creating objects for just a short time now, but have been rendering for almost a year toying around with different types of 3d programs. The sims was not only a fun game to play but it became a Venue to release my urge to create "things" and with the help of sim freaks and you my work wont be hidden on my harddrive instead i can share it with everyone to enjoy. One question I get asked a lot is what is "Amonsetira"? well its my nickname. I have a passion and have been studying egyptology for well about 10yrs now and have given my self the nick name of amonsetira. The name is actually 3 names amon-seti-ra [pronounced ah-moon-seh-tee-rah]. "Amon" is the egyptian god of creation and creativity - this is an aspect that I like to think suits me, I've always tried to be creative whether its drawing, sculpting of making objects for the sims. "Seti" was a notorious and great Pharaoh of egypt in 1306-1290bc the 19th dynasty, more popularly known as step father to Moses and father to Ramesses even though Seti committed great atrocities to the hebrews he was good to his people and had a kind heart, I don't respect his wrongs but I admire his determination spirit and strength before seti died he asked to see moses(who was now banished from egypt) to tell him his people were free and no longer slaves, unfortunately the message never made its way to moses, seti died and ramesses never did deliver the sealed message. "Ra" is the sun god of many different identities, also represented home and togetherness -what more do I need to say home is where the heart is. I sincerely hope you enjoy my creations as much as i did making them. bye for now. Jerry lepage (aka Amonsetira)

Kate

Titles: Interior Designer.
Real Job: Stands in Soup Lines...
Vicinity: Minneapolis
Creations: Walls, Floors, Roofs, Objects
Tools of Choice: Adobe Photoshop 5.0, Paintshop Pro, a constant stream of nicotine
Likes: Arts and Crafts design, Art Nouveau, Wm. Morris, Liberty's florals. Graphic design, anything Hello Kitty, and poppies.
Dislikes: Pettiness, immaturity, lack-of-confidence. In other words, I don't suffer fools gladly.

A Few Words: "I'm old enough to remember the original SimCity, with that horrible "red sheet." Aggh! That thing was evil on the eyes. Sim games have come a long way since then, and I have to admit trying them all. Even the SimKids series. I really think Wil Wright is a genius, but he's got a world-class team behind him too! Can't forget the "grunts" who do all the code. :) I like The Sims for it's design aspects ofcourse, but also that it can be so game-user developed. I look at sites like The Well-Dressed Sims, and am simply awed with the things they come up with."

My Favorite Sim Sites: SimFreaks, ofcourse. But also The Well-Dressed Sims, Jenny's Sim Stuff, Siskel and Simbert, and Roman Sims. I check these almost daily - of course. I read the TSR General Forum daily also.

Wish List: A spiral one-square staircase, with the correct animation. And high hopes for a add-on module for Art Studio - different painting sizes! Hey, J. Patrick Barrett III! Can this be done?

Linda

Titles: Object Creator
Real Job: Musician
Vicinity: Somewhere in the USA.
Creations: Objects
Tools of Choice: ?

My Rant: Linda specializes in musical objects; she is a professional musican both in her Sims game and in real life. She's a bit busy right now and on a leave of absence.

NttChris

Full Name: Cristian Balan
Title: Object Creator
Real Job: College Student(terminal year)
Vicinity: Bucharest, Romania, Europe
Creations: Objects
Tools of Choice: T'mog, Corel PhotoPaint, Jasc Paint Shop Pro, Adobe Photoshop.
Hobbies: Architecture, Art, History, Interior Design, Computers.
Games I Love: SimCity Series, Civilization Series, Caesar Series, Pharaoh, Transport Tycoon, Roller Coaster Tycoon and of course, The Sims.

My Rant: I am 25 , I attend the University of Civil Engineering (terminal year). I've spent a lot of time creating 3D architectural plans for houses and buildings using 3D Home Architect, Chief Architect, ArchiCad and AutoCad. I love Maxis games, I have played them all because in every of them you must build something and in most of them you can add lots of user created things (especially in SimCity and Sims). I created seven nice buildings for SimCity 3000 (for SimCity fans: if you are interested you can find them in the Old Exchange at www.simcity.com. Search by architect name: Cristian Balan). Other than that I read a lot about architecture, art and history, especially on the Web. I have an 2.2 GB archive of completely downloaded sites about architecture in my computer drives. When I discover a good site I download it entirely because the next day it might be gone. I had more than one such sad experiences. About Sims, I would love to create a Rococo Set (Louis XV Set composed by bed, end table, dresser, fireplace, chandelier...) but I was unable to find a good isometric picture of any of these objects anywhere. Until then I will keep creating new objects by mixing textures and parts of already known Maxis objects. In the end I would like to thank Heather for allowing me to join the SimFreaks team.

Title: Skinner
Real Job: Art Director in Advertising Agency
Vicinity: Hong Kong, China
Creations: Skins
Tools of Choice: Adobe Photoshop 5.5, Illustrator, and Editpad

My Rant: I've been playing with computer games for more that 30 years. So far as i could remember, "The Sims" is the only game i've spend so much time ever since. I enjoy the freedom of the game, the enjoyment was doubled when discovering those interseting stuffs for download. But what i enjoy most is to found myself creating the enjoyment for others --- I'm really glad to be in the team. I think advertising is like creating a dream for the consumers, and being a skinner is like making a dream come true.

Other websites: Well, it hasn't been updated since, um, May, but

Squeegee

Real Job: Top Secret
Vicinity: Silicon Valley
Creations: Skins
Tools of Choice: Adobe Photoshop

Rant: Yea, and they tell me Squirrels are harmless. Power to the Squirrel!:

ITASCA, Ill. ?? Authorities believe they have put an end to a
squirrel's reign of terror.

They think a squirrel they killed last night is the one
responsible for at least four attacks on people.

It was captured during a final attack. A man pulled it
off his wife's shoulder as it was biting her. He threw
it into a trap and called police.

Animal control officers killed the squirrel and are sending
it to a state lab for testing.

The squirrel had a bald spot on its tail ? just like
the one described by the previous victims.

Title: Skinner
Real Job: Student at George Mason University, majoring in Earth Systems Science. I also design websites but not very often. And I am trying to become a model.
Vicinity: Northern Virginia
Creations: Skins, and I've made two whole objects
Tools of Choice: Paint Shop Pro 7, Blade Pro, SimShow
Other websites: http://patriot.net/~alleluia, http://www.onemodelplace.com/model_list.cfm?ID=2988 (portfolio), former webmaster of The Sims Castle
Born: March 1979

About Me: I was born and raised in San Jose, California, but moved out to Virginia to get married about 2.5 years ago. I met my husband over the internet, and got married at 19. People thought I was crazy but it has worked out well :). My husband and I are both Christians and if you go to the first website listed above it has lots about that aspect of our lives. I love doing artistic things on the computer such as designing web pages and making web graphics. I also enjoy reading medieval fantasy novels and going to medieval role-playing events (my favorite part about those is dressing up in the costume!). That's why I have made lots of medieval skins. I've taken Myers-Briggs many times and gotten many different results out of it... I think I'm an INFP but the only part I'm really sure about is the I. The rest changes depending on what mood I'm in :).

Callisto

Callisto Title: Mesh Apprentice/Texture Diva
Real Job: Eternal Student
Vicinity: Somewhere in Ohio
Creations: Skins, Meshes
Tools of choice: (or rather tools I can afford) Paint Shop Pro, Numerous Plugins (all freeware, can't afford anything else), BodyWarp, SimShow, Facelift, Milkshape 3D, Skn2Obj, various other graphic programs.

My Rant: I was born about 28 years ago, on a Friday the 13th in a small town in the western part of Germany (yes, it makes a HUGE difference). I spent most of my life in that town, except for a few excursions to different European countries and North Africa. One day I got really bored, filled out an application as Au-Pair (fancy word for a Nanny) and was promptly accepted. I ended up in Minnesota, which wouldn't have been my first choice but turned out to be very nice. After befriending a very nice person (who is now my room mate) on the internet I decided to study in the beautiful but boring State of Ohio. Last year I discovered this dreaded game (The Sims), and ever since I have been hooked. I used to make skins for The Well Dressed Sim, after a long period of being completely absent from the Sims community I ended up here. What can I say, it's fun to be a SimFreak.

My Wish list: A new Wacom Graphics Tablet (don't ask me how I broke the old one), 3D Max Studio, PSX 2 and a winning lottery ticket (which would take care of the other wishes).

My Favorite Games: The Sims (Duh!), Ultima Online, American McGee's Alice, The Tomb Raider Series, and any other game where women kick some butt. If you think you made something foolproof, somebody will come along and invent a better fool.

David

Title: Object Freak and Mason
Real Job: Computer Programmer
Vicinity: Birmingham, Al.
Creations: Objects and Walls
Tools of Choice: T'mog and Paint Shop Pro, WS-FTP, Trellix
Former Websites: Dave's Coaster Land

About me - I'll try to keep this short. After graduation I was in the Army for 4 years. Spent several months in Desert Storm. After the military, I loafed for a few months then I started college. I got my AAS in Computer Science and started persuing a BS but didn't complete it due to work. I'm married and have a son so the family takes up most of my time at home. I love The Sims because of its versitility and the ability to change /add to the game so easily. I moved to SimFreaks because the time I was spending updating and managing my website was taking away from the time I could be spending on objects. I would like to thank the SimFreaks team for allowing me to join.

Gandalf the Greymeister

Titles: Skin Freak
Real Job: History Major CS Minor
Vicinity: Transylvania University
Creations: Skins
Tools of Choice: Adobe Photoshop 5.0, MS Paint, Ultra Edit 7, regedit

My Rant: Well, "about me" is such a broad term. I spill out some statistics like 6'4" white male. Brown hair, brown eyes, medium build. However, that really doesn't tell you much about me. For all you know, I could be just about anyone. However, as I have always warned others, it is not a terrific idea to tell your life story on the internet, as it makes your personal information available to just about anyone. However, to get a better picture of who I am, I will tell you. that I am a college freshman. I will be attending Transylvania University which is in downtown Lexington Kentucky. I will be a Computer Science major. My goals are to learn C++, C and Vis Basic. My career goals are uncertain at this point. My ultimate objective is to get a good programming job and earn enough money to attend law school. However, that is a long term goal. I have several short term goals. One of which is to create a game on the PC and/or a console platform. Ever since 8-bit Nintendo I have wanted to be able to create a game of my own. Other than that, of course, is to get good grades in college and keep a high GPA. Well, if you actually read all that or if you just skipped through to the last line, I hope you enjoy my web page.

Tiffany
Title: Object Maker and Skinner-in-Training
Real Job: Web Developer
Vincinity: Minneapolis, MN
Creations: Objects, Skins, Walls, Floors, and now my time is mostly spent working on the site.
Tools of Choice: Photoshop, 3DS Max, Dreamweaver, Transmogrifier
Born: April 1974

About me - I believe in working hard to get what I want and seem to have a talent to do so. In 1997 I started making graphics and websites because my husband needed a site for his business and I thought it didn't look very difficult. I bought a book, and have been doing this ever since. At the time I was working as a paralegal but I very quickly decided that web work was what I wanted to do. I wanted to be home for my family. A year and a half ago I took the plunge and quit my job and have been self-employed ever since. I started Simmandments in late 2000 but very quickly ran into bandwidth issues and Heather and I agreed to let me come here. Shortly after becoming a Freak I took on a very demanding client and wasn't able to spare any time for anything, but in December of 2001 I quit the client and now am helping out around here, and enjoying being able to create again. I have a son, Adam, born in 1991, two dogs (Pookie, a Siberian Husky, and Butch, a German Shepherd), and a cat (Mr. Bill)

Favorite Sim Sites: Simfreaks, of course. There really aren't a lot I get to anymore, because I rarely get to play. For skins, I really like Lyran's Sim Designs.

Debra

Debra Titles: Color Gal, Interior Designer, and Beginning Object Creator
Real Job: Part-Time Accountant & Full-Time Mother
Vicinity: Louisville, Kentucky U.S.A.
Creations, To date: Objects & Floors
Tools of choice: Well it's not necessarily a choice but I use Paint Shop Pro v.7
Likes: All things. I like to think of myself as having an eclectic personality. However, when it comes to furnishings I have a distinct preference for the late 1800 and early 1900's. In music, I am pretty much stuck in the 50's though I never lived through them. I also enjoy Jazz and the Blues.

Dislikes: Mean people, snakes, and spiders in that order.

A Few Words: I've been playing all things Sim since Sims Classic. I rarely play any other computer games but this one just captivated me. I like TheSims because it gives me an outlet for my creative tendencies and my latent desire to make my living as an Interior Designer.

To Would Be Creators: Go for it! All things are possible. If someone would have told me 6 months ago that I would be a member of one of the top sites creating content for TheSims I would have thought they were a bigger dreamer than me. I started with recolors and tried to produce quality over quantity. Learn to take criticism and apply it to improving your abilities rather then getting huffy about it. My

Favorite Sites: Well SimFreaks, of course. After that, it's a close tie between The Well Dressed Sim, SimGoddessess, Simorphor, and Seven Deadly Sims (or is that sins, I can never keep that straight). I have several other sites that I like too but those are my favorites.

I'm blissfully married to my high school sweetheart. (Since 9/11/99) We look forward to buying a home and raising a family soon. We're cat people. We have three of them. I drive a lazer red Ford Focus ZX3. It's sporty and adorable! I've been an artist ever since I was a toddler, and started drawing faces with a magic marker on my mother's hexagon pattern patchwork quilt she was sewing. I've gotten a little better since then. :)
